As the season opened at Holiday Hills Resort, April welcomed us with fresh energy, blooming nature, and weekends filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable experiences. There’s something extra special about the first month of the season, it sets the tone for everything ahead, and this year, it did not disappoint.
A Fresh Start to the Season
April marked the official kickoff of our resort season, and you could feel it in the air from the peaceful lake views to the sounds of nature waking up all around us.
Guests spent their mornings enjoying slow, cozy cabin moments, sipping coffee with scenic views, and taking in the calm before the fun-filled activities began. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement, exactly what a getaway should be.

Meanwhile, the resort came alive with some of our most memorable and guest-favorite activities.
Our S’mores Nights brought everyone together, sharing, laughter, and perfectly toasted treats by the fire. It quickly became one of those simple yet unforgettable moments guests looked forward to all day.
The Easter Egg Hunt was a huge hit for families, filling the resort with excitement as kids raced around searching for colorful eggs. The joy, laughter, and energy made it a truly heartwarming highlight of the month.
And for those looking for a little adventure, the Poker Run added a fun twist to the weekend. Guests explored different spots around the resort, collecting cards along the way—bringing out both the competitive spirit and a sense of discovery.
First-Ever Golden Gnome Hunt
One of the biggest highlights of the month? Our very first Golden Gnome Hunt 🏆
This exciting new activity brought out the adventurous spirit in everyone. Family, friends, and children explored around Eddyville & Kuttawa, searched high and low, and worked together (or competitively!) to find the hidden golden gnome.
It wasn’t just a game, it became an experience. Families bonded, kids were thrilled, and even adults couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. Safe to say… the Golden Gnome Hunt is here to stay!
